Twinsift Privacy Policy
This policy explains how your information is handled in Twinsift, an iPhone app (the "app").
Information we collect
We do not collect your information through this app.
- The app does not send your photos, videos, or their details (such as dates or locations) to us or to any other company. The app has no server that receives your data.
- The app does not collect your name, email address, or device identifiers. It has no feature that collects usage analytics or crash reports.
- The app shows no ads and includes no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- If you turn on Share With App Developers in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash logs and usage statistics with us in a form that does not identify you. We use them only to fix problems in the app. You can turn this off at any time.
How your photos are handled
- Finding similar photos, screenshots, and large videos happens entirely on your iPhone. The app never sends your photos off your iPhone.
- The following are stored only on your iPhone, for each photo:
- numbers used to compare photos
- sharpness
- the number of faces and how clearly they appear
- file sizes of photos and videos
- the date each photo was last edited, to see whether it has changed
- the photos you chose to keep, and the deletion marks you added or removed
- Face information is used only to suggest which photo to keep. The app does not identify who anyone is.
- This information is excluded from iCloud and computer backups. You can delete it at any time in the app's Settings > Clear Check Results. It is also removed when you delete the app.
- Photos are deleted only when you choose them and tap Delete in the iPhone's confirmation dialog. Deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days.
- You can change or turn off photo access at any time in iPhone Settings > Apps > Twinsift > Photos (on iOS 17: Settings > Twinsift > Photos). If you turn it off, the app can no longer check your photos.
Settings stored on your device
The number of photos you deleted for free, whether the purchase screen has been shown, and your app settings (how closely photos are grouped) are stored on your iPhone. They may be included in your iPhone backup, but they are never sent to us.
Purchases
In-app purchases (subscriptions and the one-time purchase) are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment information. The app checks whether you have purchased Premium on your iPhone using Apple's StoreKit.
This page and links
Tapping "Privacy Policy" in the app opens this page in your browser. Tapping "Terms of Use" opens Apple's standard License Agreement.
The server hosting this page may automatically log access information, such as IP address and time, to deliver the page. We do not link these logs to your use of the app.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and add the revision date below the effective date.
Contact
If you email us, we receive your email address and your message (nothing is sent from within the app). We use them only to reply to you, and we do not sell them or give them to third parties.
